Joint statement by World Medical Association and Medicus Mundi International Network and supported by Public Services International at the ninth meeting on the WHO Intergovenmental Negotiating Body, 21 March 2024
In a written statement submitted to the WHO Intergovernmental Negotiating Body (INB), the MMI Network together with the World Medical Association commented on the article on Health and Care Workforce (Article 7) of the latest draft of a Pandemic Agreement that is expected to be discussed and edited by the INB in the next days. The joint statement was also supported by Public Services International. The three organizations that promote the protection of the lives, livelihoods and rights of health and care workers, in their input to the negotiations, provided some general assessment and specific text proposals.
