The difficult relationship between faith-based health care organisations and the public sector in sub-Saharan Africa

We are happy to present the final revised version of the original MMI study report on contracting between public health authorities and faith-based health organisations in 4 sub-Saharan African countries (Cameroun, Chad, Tanzania and Uganda). This version has been thoroughly reviewed so as to better fit academic standards and is currently in press in the ITM Series ‘Studies in Health Services Organisation & Policy’. The abstract and introduction have been re-written, the methods section elaborated, a section on strategic options added, the literature review updated, and thorough editing and formatting done. Each of the case studies was completed with an introduction describing the general country context. Overall, we believe this version to constitute a significant improvement of the original report.
