Cordaid, December 2018. The Central African Republic has struggled with violence and political instability for decades. Recurring violence and ineffective government have resulted in a lack of access to basic services. Health services are sparse and there is a shortage of skilled medical personnel. People do not have the economic opportunities to provide for themselves, let alone their families. Cordaid has helped to improve the health system through Results-Based Financing.

The Bêkou Trust Fund is the first multi-donor fund that was created by the European Union. Its mandate is to support the transition between emergency aid and development aid in the Central African Republic.

A leaflet available in French (only) highlights our project results of two phases of the Bêkou Trust Fund from February 2015 to June 2018.
