Wednesday 21 May 2025, 18.00 -20.00 CEST
Warwick Hotel, Rue de Lausanne 14, Geneva

Also known as “the lungs of the earth”, the rainforest plays a pivotal role in providing global climate stability, regulating water cycles and biodiversity conservation. However, its intensified deforestation is leading to a severe disregulation of the planet’s environmental balance, compromising the health and livelihoods of current and future generations and disproportionately affecting vulnerable and marginalized populations.
With the aim to call for urgent and decisive action from international and national leaders, Medicus Mundi invites everyone to join this exciting side event. Starting with the presentation of a policy brief – in collaboration with ISGlobal – on the “Health Impact of Deforestation” in the Bolivian rainforest, the event will unfold with the screening of the “Don Benjamin”. A proud production of Medicus Mundi Mediterrania and internationally acclaimed, the movie documents the efforts done by the local population to save their rainforest from ultimate destruction. And lastly, is a powerful reminder that art is a strong advocacy channel. You are welcome to join us!
