This way or that way? This is a question organizations need to ask themselves from time to time, reviewing achievements and failures of the last years and assessing strengths and weaknesses of the institution and its setup in a changing environment. As we approach both the end of the current strategic period (MMI Network Strategy 2016-2020) and the related work plan 2018-20 in the field of Effective Health Cooperation, the Board of the MMI Network invites the Network members to the launch of the process towards the Network Strategy 2021+, in a meeting at the Cordaid office in the Hague. Find a first announcement below. We hope to see many Network members represented at least on the first day of our meeting.

Details of the workshop programme will be communicated to confirmed participants ahead of the meeting. The meeting will be facilitated by an experienced external moderator. If you cannot make in to the Hague in November, be assured that the Board is dedicated to implement this strategic process in an inclusive way in which all member organisation will have several opportunities to engage.

Setting the scene, reviewing the common ground

  • Analysis of MMI track record: Review of the implementation of the Network Strategy 2016-20, with main achievements and shortcomings
  • Context analysis: global health trends, political trends, member’s needs, communication trends
  • The Network in relation to its context and track record: SWOT-analysis

Followed by a dinner

Day 2: Friday, 29 November, 9.00 – 12.00 hrs
First conclusions, outlook, planning

  • Conclusions: Key drivers for the next strategy
  • Planning the strategic process
