Medicus Mundi International – Network Health for All (MMI) is a Network of organizations working in the field of international health cooperation and global health. The Network promotes access to health and health care as a fundamental human right, and we support efforts undertaken in this respect by its members. There are some good reasons to join the MMI Network:

• The Network is a living community promoting sharing and collaboration.
  Through its working groups, meetings and communication channels, the Network offers great opportunities for learning, sharing and collaborating.
• MMI is an NGO in official relations with the World Health Organization.
  MMI provides its members with access to WHO meetings and consultations, allowing them to engage in a range of issues including health systems strengthening, health workforce development, universal health coverage, social determinants of health and global health governance.
• MMI is one of the most experienced networks in the field of global health.
  MMI was founded in 1963, and for more than 50 years it has been successfully linking organizations working in the fields of health cooperation, international health research and global health policies, governance and advocacy.
• The Network empowers its members by providing particular services.
  MMI provides support for convening small and large-scale events, scouting and consultancy on funding opportunities, the set-up of consortia for joint projects, and much more.
• MMI is a horizontal network respecting the values and autonomy of its members.
  The Network is owned and financed by its members and through jointly agreed programmes and remains independent from any other actor, public or private.

But all this cannot be achieved without the Network members: With their active engagement and their financial contributions, the members are key for both success and sustainability of the Network. So join in!

Applying to MMI membership is a smooth and transparent process. We propose the following steps:

• Get informed about us.
  Medicus Mundi International – Network Health for All is an association according to German law seated in Tönisvorst, Germany. Network membership and the roles, rights and obligations of Network members are defined by the association’s statutes. We recommend to have a particular look at the MMI Network Policy. These and other basic documents are collected in the “governance and accountability” section of our website.
• Review if you comply with the criteria for Network membership.
  According to the MMI statutes and Network policy, Network members
  – share the Network members’ vision of Health for All and support the mandate of the Network;
  – are committed to actively participate in Network activities and to contribute to the sustainability of the Network;
  – are working in the field of international health cooperation and/or global health;
  – are able to fulfill the related duties, including the payment of an annual membership fee.
• Get informed about the regulation regarding the annual membership fee.
  There are two standard classes of membership fees: 5000 EUR as regular fee and 1000 EUR as reduced fee for financially weak members (determination by self-declaration). When you apply for membership, please indicate if you are able to pay the full or the reduced fee.

  For launching the formal application process, please download and fill out our simple application form and submit it to the MMI secretariat by regular mail or e-mail, with supportive documents as enclosures or links to documents published on your website.

To acknowledge receipt, and if we need ourselves additional information, we will get back to you as soon as possible. Afterwards, the process might take some time: According to the MMI statutes, the decision on the admission of new members is taken by the Board, based on the information provided.
