AGEH Short-term Advisors

Are you in need of someone to help your partner organisation to resolve key problems and issues on the spot? Or is ongoing professional backup needed for an agreed period of time? Then the AGEH "Short-term Advisors" Programme is the right solution for you.

• The programme recruits professional advisory and support workers to address specific needs of your project partners. The purpose is to upgrade the planning and execution of development projects, identify implementation difficulties in good time and work with project coordinators to develop appropriate solutions.

• The programme intensifies and improves dialogue between you and your partners in the North, the South or the East. To further this purpose, we keep advisory work separate from the executive functions of donor agencies and organisations.

• The lessons learned from advisory and support work are processed and fed back to programme promoters at every operational level. This encourages continual adaptation of practices in development work to take account of the most recent advances in understanding.

What AGEH provides: A three-year fixed-term contract in line with the German collective agreement for public employees (BAT). Administrative supervision by AGEH, job-specific supervision by the relevant donor agency or development organisation.
