Age Demands Action
Cordaidpartners, 28 September 2010. Age Demands Action (ADA) is a global campaign that aims to combat age discrimination wherever it exists. 1 October is the UN International Day of Older People and a key day of activism for the campaign. On this day, people of all ages are taking action in nearly 50 countries and calling for change on issues which affect older people such as pensions, healthcare, housing or access to work.
Cordaid is taking part in Age Demands Action for the first time in 2010. People in the Netherlands will be engaged with the issues older people face in developing countries through profiles of three people who are taking part in Age Demands Action in Kenya. And then action will be generated with a focus on the importance of the EU including older people in development policies.
