Polio Eradication and the Implications for Health Governance

Polio Eradication and the Implications for Health Governance

Geneva, 11 March 2016. The Global Health Programme at the Graduate Institute has launched an applied research project to analyse the critical dimensions of the global effort to eradicate polio, focusing on overcoming the remaining barriers and ensuring a lasting legacy for health systems as well as the role of European countries in this effort. This event is the first in a series of policy dialogues across different cities in Europe. It will focus on the social and political barriers to polio eradication and on the implications for governance at the local and global level, as well as for strengthening health systems and achieving universal health coverage.

A public event organized by the Global Health Programme of the Graduate Institute, a member of Medicus Mundi Switzerland.
